North Shore Trail
The North Shore Trail starts at the observation tower located adjacent to the Battlefords Goose Project and the Battlefords River Valley Visitor Centre. In the winter a cross country ski trail can be accessed from Poundmaker Trail near the pedestrian bridge leading to Finlayson Island. GPS coordinates of the ski trail are available on this profile.
The trail runs along the northern shores of the North Saskatchewan River to two kilometres beyond the F.E. Holliday Water Treatment Plant heading east. You can also see where the North Saskatchewan River and Battle River Converge along the trail.
Trails are groomed in winter to cross country skiing, mowed in summer for walking. The trails east of the Finlayson Island pedestrian bridge offer a challenging mountain biking experience.
