Chapel Gallery

Description

The Chapel Gallery is a public gallery with special emphasis on contemporary, regional, and First Nations art. It is a centre for artists in the community and provides exhibition opportunities, workshops, and mentorship programs.  With a focus on current artistic practices in all media, the Chapel Gallery also presents exhibits of crafts and historical art.

Situated in the Riverview area of North Battleford, the gallery is housed in the former chapel of the St. Thomas boy's academy, a beautiful modern building with spectacular views of the North Saskatchewan River Valley.  A biennial Sculpture Symposium has taken advantage of the park-like grounds, leaving a growing legacy of public art.  Stroll through labyrinths by Oriol Dancer, take in some new art at the gallery, don't miss Jim Jenson's evocative wooden sphere, and enjoy the best view in town.
